What NekoTrack reads

With your permission, NekoTrack reads two things from Apple Health (HealthKit):

• Workouts: it uses your running workouts, with their start and end times and distance.
• Walking + Running Distance: to get each run's distance.

NekoTrack uses them on your device to work out your cat's stage, mood, streak and your runs list. It only reads. It never writes anything to Health, and it doesn't read routes, heart rate or any other health data.

You can change this any time in the Health app (tap your picture, then Apps › NekoTrack) or in Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › NekoTrack.

Where your data lives

• Your runs stay in Apple Health on your iPhone and Apple Watch. NekoTrack doesn't copy them anywhere. Apple syncs Health between your own devices according to your Health settings.
• Your cat and settings (the cat's name, breed, the day they came home, whether past runs count, the last stage you watched them grow into, your weekly goal, units and notification choices) are stored on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, they're also stored in your private iCloud database so your cat follows you between your iPhone and Apple Watch. Only you can access that database. We can't see it. Apple stores it under Apple's privacy policy. NekoTrack does not put Health data in its private iCloud database; Apple’s own Health sync is separate.
• Widgets and complications draw from a small summary (your cat's name, stage and mood, your total and remaining distance, and your last run) kept in a shared folder on your device. It doesn't leave the device.

What the app collects

Nothing. NekoTrack has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no crash-reporting tools and no third-party code. It doesn't make network requests of its own. The only connection it uses is Apple's iCloud, to sync your own cat between your own devices.

If you choose to share analytics with app developers in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. That's Apple's feature, and you control it there.

If you email us, we'll see your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply.

Third parties in the app

None. We don't sell, share or rent any data, and your Health data is never used for advertising or marketing. There is nothing to share: it never reaches us.

Notifications

Notifications are local. They're planned and scheduled on your iPhone from what's already on it, and nothing is sent to a server. You can turn each type off in NekoTrack Settings, or all of them in iOS Settings. To keep your devices in sync, iCloud may use Apple's push service to tell them your cat changed. That message goes through Apple, not us.

Children

The NekoTrack app doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. There are no accounts, no chat, no ads and no way to share anything with other people. A parent can control a child's Health access in the Health settings above.

How to delete everything

Because we don’t hold your app data, you’re in control of deleting it:

1. Remove your cat: in NekoTrack, tap the gear on Home, then Start over with a new cat. This removes the cat and their progress from your iPhone, your Apple Watch and iCloud.
2. Delete the app from your iPhone. The watch app is removed with it, or you can remove it in the Watch app on your iPhone.
3. Clear or turn off iCloud data for NekoTrack: go to Settings › [your name] › iCloud. Under storage (Manage Storage or Manage Account Storage), choose NekoTrack and delete its data. To stop syncing instead, turn NekoTrack off in the list of apps using iCloud. Menu names can vary a little between iOS versions.
4. Stop Health access in the Health settings above. Your runs belong to Apple Health. Deleting NekoTrack never deletes them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If NekoTrack ever starts collecting data, this page and the App Store privacy label will say so before it happens.
